Abstract: 

The methodological basics of socio-geographical research in organic food production has been developed. The diversity and complexity of the process, which combines natural, ecological and socio-economic conditions and characteristics has been highlighted. The main tasks and key stages of the study have been identified. The attention has been drawn to the need for a territorial approach as its foundation. The role of such produce production for implementation of environmentally safe agricultural development models has been stressed.
