Abstract: 

Geographic information systems are viewed as a technology which facilitates the processing of significant volumes of raw geographical data and links the stages of landscape planning into a single interdependent process. The methodical requirements that must be met when using GIS in landscape planning have been presented. Examples of the GIS application in landscape planning фе еру phases of data inventory and landscapes evaluation.
