N. Golodov. THE CREATION OF NATIONAL SEA AND RIVER MAPS – THE WAY TO SAFETY OF NAVIGATION

Navigation maps are an important element of the system of securing navigation safety both in sea and inland water ways. In Ukraine this task is entrusted to State Institution “Derzhgidrographiya” of Ministry of Infrastructure. The definition of the official sea navigation map is given, the requirements they need to meet according international laws are considered, the process of creation of electronic navigation maps is described. The level of supply of Ukraine with navigation maps is shown.
