Abstract: 

The current state of geomorphologic science in Ukraine, which has evolved through the work of mature scientific schools (Institute of Geography of the National Academy of Sciences, Kiev, Lviv, Taurida, Kharkov, Odessa National Universities), each of which has certain specialized areas of basic research, substantial results of regional and applied research, is analyzed. The role of individual geomorphologists is emphasized. The most promising areas of current geomorphology development in Ukraine, which implementation will contribute to a positive image of geomorphology in the world scientific community, are identified.
