Abstract: 

The processes of formation and realization of labor potential in the capital city zone of influence – Kiev have been reviewed. The territorial features of population dynamics, its age structure under depopulation conditions and prevalence of migration from village to city have been analyzed. The preferred directions for effective labour potential utilization based on the local labor markets features have been justified.
