Abstract:

The author’s definition of the geographical dimensions as a reflection of objectively present characteristics, properties, processes and structures of multilevel Ecosystems has been presented. Primary (direct) and secondary (indirect) and calculated measurements, performance evaluations types (parameters, gradients, indices, ratios, vectors, matrix) have been highlighted. Different types of measurements and geographical formations which appear in the process of natural resources and socio-economic area structuring have been characterized. The necessity of multilevel geographical dimension curves selection has been explained. The matrix model of integrated Ecosystem, which shows not only statics but also dynamics of its development has been developed. The importance of obtaining quantitative estimates of various multicomponent ties and combinations in ecosystems to enable quantitative evaluation some of their other integral properties has been highlighted.
