V. Smal. WESTERN GEOGRAPHERS ON HIGHER GEOGRAPHIC EDUCATION: UKRAINE EXPERIENCE
As the mission of universities have changed over the past decades from elite to mass education, the need to facilitate the university graduates employment practices encourages university faculty to revise the content and type of geographical knowledge and skills, current curricula, methodology and teaching practices, and take in consideration the accumulated international experience. The article reviews the current state as well as the future of higher geographic education.
