I.A. Baydikov. FEATURES OF THE LANDSCAPE STRUCTURE OF ZAPORIZHIA REGION AS A BASIS OF THE REGION MEDIUM-SCALE LANDSCAPE MAPPING
The landscape structure features in Zaporizhya region have been reviewed in the article in the context of its value as an informative basis for medium-scale landscapes mapping. The landscape structure of the region is shown considering its physical and geographical (landscape) zoning. In order to provide the informative value of cartographic materials planned to be created, landscape characteristics presented at the level of main units zoning - landscape areas and some landscape creations, river valleys, large reservoirs, large lakes, estuaries, sea bays and capes. Research conducted within the research theme «Methodology of medium-scale geoinformatic mapping of Ukraine landscapes «, implemented by the Landscape Studies Department at the Institute of Geography of the Ukraine National Academy of Sciences.
