Abstract: 

The purpose of the publication is to study the creative activity in Ukraine on the basis of modern theoretical and methodological approaches to this topic. The research methodology is proposed and the results of its approbation are presented, including the analysis of modern theoretical and methodological approaches to the issue, the author’s definition of a term “creative activity”, analysis of the main tendencies and factors of its territorial organization, research of the state of development of creative activity in the regions of Ukraine in comparison with the trends of highly developed post-industrial country (UK). The novelty of the study is that this kind of detailed analysis of domestic creative activity was conducted for the first time.
