Резюме: 

У статті розглянуто загострення кризи рекрутингу в державах-учасницях НАТО як результат демографічних змін у світі на початку ХХІ ст. Наслідки демографічного переходу призвели до суттєвого зменшення чисельності когорти молодих чоловіків та скорочення рекрутингової ніші в усіх країнах євроатлантичної спільноти. Автори вважають, що демографічні перешкоди більше вплинули на економічні та культурні фактори, які формують рекрутингову політику.
